In February 2014, when we celebrated our 45th reunion, we decided to create an Endowment Fund to emulate those created at the various Ivy League schools in the USA. Given the dire need for top-quality MBAs in South Africa, we believe this is where we can help make an essential contribution to future generations.
Four class members put up the initial funding to form what is today known as the GSB Foundation – a registered Trust and public benefit organisation dedicated to creating an endowment and raising funds to support the GSB’s MBA programme.
At the reunion, several more members of the 1969 class pledged their support – we call on all those who pledged now to make their financial contributions. You can do so here by donating securely online.
All South African donations will automatically be issued with a Section 18A tax receipt. For those donating from Europe, UK, USA, Canada or Australia, you can do so tax efficiently in your local country via one of the UCT overseas trusts with whom the GSB Foundation has reciprocal agreements.
